ASEAN

ASEAN — Malaysia first, where our delivery operation sits, then its neighbours — offers much of the regional exposure of Singapore at a materially lower cost of living, with a large international education sector and a growing shared-services and technology base in and around Kuala Lumpur. It is often the more realistic first move.

Why this market

ASEAN — Malaysia first, where our delivery operation sits, then its neighbours — offers much of the regional exposure of Singapore at a materially lower cost of living, with a large international education sector and a growing shared-services and technology base in and around Kuala Lumpur. It is often the more realistic first move.

Visa reality

Each ASEAN country has its own permits. In Malaysia, employment passes are employer-sponsored and graded by salary band; student passes run through the institution. Processing times vary from one country to the next and should be planned for rather than assumed away.

Cost of living

Substantially lower than Singapore across housing, transport and daily costs, in Kuala Lumpur as in most capitals of the region, which changes what a given starting salary actually buys.

Sectors hiring

Shared services, technology, digital marketing, engineering, healthcare.

Our presence

Kuala Lumpur is our delivery and operations core for the region, run with our sister entity Infinite Education Sdn Bhd: academic operations, programme delivery and sub-agent network management. The other ASEAN countries open up progressively from this hub.
